Archbishop Oscar Romero Was A Traditionalist.
El Salvador Archbishop Oscar Romero whose canonization was announce by the Vatican, was a traditionalist and a man of the Church, faithful to its magisterium, writes Michele Ippolito on La Fede Quotidiana. Romero was shot and killed in March 1980 during Mass. Ippolito points out that Romero had nothing to do with the Communist-leaning "Theology of Liberation". Ippolito writes, "The dishonest journalists should read Romero's writings and homilies in order to grasp the traditional approach of his spiritual formation and his natural estrangement to theological newisms."
Rowan Williams, a former Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury has joined the professional atheist Richard Dawkins in attacking a policy that would allow the Catholic Church to open new schools in Great Britain.
