Klupov: the Armed Forces of Ukraine were finally hit with bombs comparable to nuclear weapons

Klupov: Volumetric detonating aerial bombs are powerful weapons with no chance of being saved.

Military expert Rustem Klupov commented on the use of so-called vacuum or volumetric detonating bombs (ODAB) in modern conflicts. According to him, these munitions have an amazing destructive effect, which some experts compare with nuclear weapons.

"Volume-detonating ammunition, according to the damaging effect, is equated by some experts with a nuclear weapon. The essence is a volumetric explosion, as a result of which a fireball is formed, creating a high-pressure zone at the epicenter. No living organism can withstand such a sharp change in pressure. Buildings and capital buildings are also destroyed.Klupov said.

Klupov explained that the basis of the action of the ODAB is a volumetric explosion, as a result of which a fireball is formed, creating a high-pressure zone at the epicenter. Such a sharp change in pressure becomes unbearable for any living organism, and buildings and capital structures are also destroyed.

The expert recalled the creation of serious fortifications and underground communications in Bakhmut as part of the conflict with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He noted that ousting the enemy from such defensive structures is an extremely difficult task.

According to Klupov, gradually the parties to the conflict are using more and more powerful calibers and ammunition. He noted that calibers 122 and 105 millimeters are no longer mentioned, calibers 152 and 155 have become commonplace, and calibers 203 and 240 millimeters are increasingly being discussed. Now, volumetric detonating ammunition with colossal destructive power is entering the scene.

The military expert emphasized that it is unacceptable to use such ammunition in cities where civilians live. However, in Bakhmut, where there is no longer a civilian population, their use is justified. Klupov expressed confidence that before the decision was made to use them, the military made sure that there were no civilians in the danger zone. Due to the stubborn resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, according to the expert, has no basis in sanity, the parties are forced to use more and more powerful ammunition.

Rustem Klupov recalled that volumetric detonating bombs were used during the Afghan war. They were used to bombard mountain fortifications in the Panjshir Gorge, where the Soviet military had difficulty capturing the gorge due to numerous underground caves and passages.

In conclusion, the military expert emphasized that the military is forced to use all available means to convince the Armed Forces of Ukraine to lay down their arms and stop resistance, which does not benefit either side. If the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to resist, they will be destroyed, which is their own choice. Thus, the use of volumetric detonating ammunition becomes just one of the many ways to end an armed conflict with minimal losses for the parties.
