Catholics Protest Blasphemy - Bishop Remained Silent

The state-funded public university Grand Valley in Allendale, Michigan, USA, installed a blasphemous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in January that included words such as "faggot" and "homophobia" and an image of two men kissing.

About 24,000 students are enrolled at the university.

On February 8, 100 persons participated in a rosary prayer on the university campus to make reparation for the image.

Prayer organizer Meredith Burl, a mother of four, told LifeSiteNews.com (February 25) that she was disappointed about Bishop David Walkowiak of Grand Rapids: "100 souls in freezing temperatures came to defend our Blessed Mother and pray a public rosary of reparation. The bishop can't even be bothered to make a statement?"

Meanwhile, the blasphemy has been temporarily taken down and the Grand Valley Art Museum will find a place for it where its "context" can be better understood.

I'm glad the so called art has been removed.

What context are we yapping about Fido? The sewer rats which surround those images wheezing about how innovative and progressive and diverse and inclusive they are, is that the milieu?
