Listen to Him Alone Amid Struggles
The transfiguration of Jesus, where His divinity is revealed, offers hope and foreshadows the resurrection. However, it is placed in the context of the Passion and crucifixion, emphasizing the struggles and hardships that come with following Christ. The transfiguration, witnessed by Moses and Elijah, signifies Jesus’ greater role than these prophets, highlighting the ultimate hope of eternal life despite earthly struggles.
The second week of Lent serves as a reminder to persevere in our Lenten practices, focusing on our faith in Jesus Christ. Despite struggles and distractions, we should prioritize our relationship with God, seeking His guidance and peace. By centering our lives on Jesus, we can find hope and fulfillment amidst the challenges we face.
