Mary’s Apparitions for the World: Banneux, Belgium - January 15

We’re still deep in the Great Depression. Julien and Louise Beco, though cradle Catholics, had long abandoned the practice of the Faith. The Beco’s oldest child, Mariette, was eleven years-old that January. On Sunday night, January 15, 1933, Mariette was downstairs with her mother, who was tending the baby, while Mariette watched another child who lay sick in his crib. Mr. Beco had dozed off in the back of the room. There is snow on the ground. Mariette sees the luminous figure of a beautiful young woman standing in the garden. Mary would return seven more times and deliver messages for the world.
