REPORT ON QUITO PILGRIMAGE:
I have finished the novena of intense prayer for all of you in this amazing city in the first republic consecrated to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
In summary, this city boasts of more churches and convents than you can imagine.
One amazing mystic who foretold in 1600 all about our days, promoted by Archbishop Lefebvre,
One miraculous statue, completed by angels,
One miraculous painting of Our Lady that opened its eyes and shed tears,
Seven incorrupt bodies of holy women,
One martyred President praised by various popes,
One martyred Archbishop,
One Venerable priest and politician,
Two canonized saints,
One of the most spectacular gilded churches I have ever seen in 25 countries I visited.
This city is called the Rome of the New World. The union between Church and State was a model for all the world in the 19th Century until the "Liberal Revolution" began in 1895.
