Eucharistic Adoration with a ... Piece of Bread

Franciscan Father Gregorio Di Lauro, 57, had a wonderful idea during a school camp.

The camp was held at Camping Julia in Metaponto, Matera, Italy.

It was organised by the "Beato Carlo Acutis" Lab-Oratory of the Parish of Saints Francis and Clare in Castellaneta (Taranto), where Father Di Lauro is the parish priest.

After presiding at a Eucharist, Di Lauro wanted to stage a "Eucharistic Adoration". The result can be seen in the picture in the article.

But Di Lauro overlooked a crucial point: if one expresses the extraordinary with ordinary means, the message will be misunderstood.

This is one reason why the Roman Rite Church uses beautiful and very expensive monstrances.

This is the "new liturgical movement" of Vatican II - by overemphasizing the species of bread which is changed by Transubstantiation into the Lord's Body & Blood, the doctrine of the Real Presence is denied. I recall vividly when in seminary we were forced to use "real bread" i.e. leavened bread made with additional ingredients than simple wheat flour & water to have our "Eucharist" for the 'fullness of the sign' as the liturgists called it! All those "Masses" were invalid!! Only after our complaints was proper matter used again.

Worse than that!! While Protestants may believe the communion bread is only a symbol, most would not profane that symbol. This so-called "priest" has profaned and committed a profound blasphemy involving what we must hope was not a validly consecrated host. In fact, how could anyone think that these so-called priests, who have so stepped outside the bounds of the Catholic Faith with their heresies and "cute" renditions of liturgy, intend what the Catholic Church intends when they stand at the altar to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass?!! Their actions show that they have abandoned the beliefs and practices of the Catholic Faith - and that they have made up their own religions. Flee from these charlatans! @la verdad prevalece

Yes we have to flee from these false shepherds, St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori says that the sins of priests are blasphemies against the Holy Spirit because they sin like apostate angels. " they sin like apostate angels" -- this needs to be underscored - since there is no one in the Vatican or among the ranks of bishops who is disciplining and stopping these charlatans, who are offending Our Lord so grievously - and leading the faithful to hell.

A Catholic priest of the Roman Rite offers the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Only a Protecatholic priest of the Nervous Weirdo rite would “preside at a Eucharist”.
