This is Father Emilian Kowcz from the town of Tlumach in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. He was a Ukrainian Greek Catholic priest. He was arrested by the Gestapo for issuing 600 baptismal certificates to Jews trying to save their lives. He was sent to the Majdanek extermination camp and murdered there. He was declared a saint by Pope John Paul II in 2001.
