He’s done it again! Tim Schmalz, the creator behind the controversial “Homeless Jesus” statue, has sculpted another work that is generating lots of commentary on both sides of the debate: is this an appropriate way in which to depict Christ?
“Love Your Enemy” shows Christ embracing a hooded individual holding an assault rifle. Tim created this work, and a second piece, titled “Thou Shalt Not Kill,” to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on America.
