Sweet & gentle Jesus, King of Fair Love, help me to love as I ought. I beg of Thee to drive out from my soul all carnal desires. Cast any earthly affections I have for simple creatures to the wind. Drive out any false love with which I deceive myself, so that charity may blossom in my heart. Reign over all my thoughts, words & actions, O Sacred Heart of my Savior. Help me help those around me. Rid me of temptations to give vain praise - even to those whom I hold dear - so that instead I may help others to grow in humility. My affections have been rotten, O Lord, but with Thy help I can sanctify myself, save my soul & help save others' souls. Amen.
