When Your Parents Start to Grow Old....
Let them age with the same love and patience they showed you while you were growing up.
Let them talk — even if they repeat the same stories — with the same attention and kindness they once gave you when you told yours as a child.
Let them win the small arguments, just as they once let you win every game.
Let them enjoy the company of their friends, the same way they’ve always wanted you to enjoy yours.
Let them spend time with their grandchildren — because in them, they still see you.
Let them live surrounded by the things they’ve cherished for years, because taking those things away feels to them like tearing away pieces of their life.
Let them make mistakes, just as you did countless times, and remember how they never shamed you for it — they simply guided you.
Let them live.
And do everything you can to make them happy in the final stretch of their journey.
Hold their hands — the same hands that once held yours when you were just learning to walk through life.
