The President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, and representatives of the main opposition party "Movement for Democratic Change" have signed an agreement that will facilitate the country's negotiations and, according to Fides news, will possibly create a unified national government. After several unsuccessful attempts to reach an agreement due to the refusal of the representatives, the country has been in crisis since Mugabe's reelection, which the opposition denounced as false and deceptive. The United Nations has warned that due to the crisis and the failed agrarian reforms of the government, 5 million people in Zimbabwe will suffer from hunger in the coming months if interventions are not made in time.
