APPEAL TO LORENZO FONTANA: ANNOUNCE THAT LG 14 AND 16 IN VATICAN COUNCIL II REFER TO HYPOTHETICAL AND INVISIBLE CASES IN 1965-2025

Lorenzo Fontana is an Italian politician and member of the League (Lega) and is President of the Chamber of Deputies . He is also the Deputy Federal Secretary of the Lega-Salvini.

He was born in Verona, Veneto, in 1980. He graduated in political science at the University of Padua, in Christian history at the European University of Rome and in philosophy at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Fontana is married and has one daughter. He is a fervent traditionalist Catholic and regularly attends the Tridentine Mass according to Wikipedia. His spiritual counsellor is Father Vilmar Pavesi FSSP who is a well-known monarchist and an opponent of abortion, divorce, euthanasia, and LGBT rights.

LEGA-SALVINI CLARIFY

An appeal is made to him to clarify that LG 8,14,16,UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc in Vatican Council II refer to hypothetical and invisible cases in 2025. For the Lega-Salvini there are no physically visible cases of the baptism of desire or being saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16) . If anyone is saved as such it can only be known to God. This is common sense.

So for the Lega, being saved in imperfect communion with the Church ( UR 3), saved outside the visible boundaries of the Church, where the true Church subsists ( LG 8) and with good things in other religions (Nostra Aetate) refer to hypothetical cases only. They exist only in our mind. They are not actual and real people known to us who are saved outside the Catholic Church.

So could Lorenzo Fontana, simply issue a Press Release saying, for him and the Lega,

‘Lumen Gentium 14 and Lumen Gentium 16 refer to invisible and hypothetical cases in 1965-2025’.

BISHOPS IN ITALY INFORMED

So all Catholic bishops and cardinals in Italy are informed that for the Lega Deputies, ‘LG 14 and LG 16 refer to hypothetical cases.’

This is common knowledge. Everyone agrees on this point.

With this announcement the Catholic Church will return to the traditional doctrines of historical Rome.

It will undo the mistake in 1) the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office to the Archbishop of Boston which projected invisible cases of the baptism of desire as being visible exceptions for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The mistake was repeated at 2) Vatican Council II, when LG 14 and 16 were interpreted as being objective examples of salvation outside the Catholic Church and so practical exceptions for the dogma EENS. So the Athanasius Creed which says all need to be Catholic became obsolete. Vatican Council II interpreted irrationally ( LG 14 and 16 are visible ) made Tradition obsolete. There is schism with the times of St Francis of Assisi, Sr. Catherine of Siena and the popes of the Papal States in Rome.Rahner, Ratzinger, Balthazar, Congar, Lubac, Guardini and Lehmann did theology with the 1949 LOHO mistake. So there was a hermeneutic of rupture with Tradition. There was no continuity with the dogma EENS, the Athanasius Creed, the exclusivist ecclesiology of the Roman Missal at the Latin Mass etc.

FATHER STEFANO VISINTIN OSB

Father Stefano Visintin osb, has been the Rector of the Pontifical Ateneo Sant’Anselmo in Rome and at present is the abbot at the Benedictine community of Praglia . He offers Holy Mass in Italian. He has been a professor of Fundamental Theology and a priest since 2009. He has a Degree in Physics (University of Trieste 1988),Baccalaureate in Theology (Pontifical Athenaeum Sant’Anselmo, 1994); License in Theology with specialization in Fundamental Theology (Pontifical Gregorian University, 1996);Doctorate in Theology (Pontifical Gregorian University, 1999), Master in Counseling Psychology (European University of Rome, 2007); and a “Certificate of Advanced English” from the University of Cambridge. Abbot Stefano speaks Italian, English and German.
He says that the baptism of desire (LG 14) is an invisible case in our reality and so is not an objective exception for the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
So could a motion be passed in the Italian Parliament saying that Vatican Council II is to be interpreted with LG 16 etc not being objective and known cases of salvation outside the Catholic Church in the present times. The people in Italy will then understand Vatican Council II. They will interpret Vatican Council II rationally and honestly.

FSSP, SSPX COMMON ERROR

Presently, the FSSP and the SSPX and the sedevacantists also interpret LG 14 and 16 as being exceptions for the dogma EENS. So they imply that LG 14 and 16 refer to visible and known people in the present times, saved outside the Catholic Church. This is irrational. Invisible people cannot be exceptions for the dogma EENS. Fr. Visintin and many Italian priests agree on this point.-Lionel Andrades
