Cardinal Schönborn leads rethink on same-sex civil unions

Same-sex relationships should be respected and recognised in law, Vienna Cardinal Schönborn stated in a lecture evening at the National Gallery in London titled "Christianity: Alien Presence or Foundation of the West?" on Monday according to The Tablet.

"There can be same-sex partnerships and they need respect, and even civil law protection. Yes, but please keep it away from the notion of marriage. Because the definition of marriage is the stable union between a man and a woman open to life," Cardinal Schönborn said. "We should be clear about terms and respect the needs of people living in a partnership together. They deserve respect," he added.

Actually, Cardinal Schönborn is just another Cardinal Archbishop of Vienna with the principles of a seismograph. His predecessor Cardinal Innitzer signed a declaration endorsing the Anschluss, with Heil Hitler!, which I suppose was that generation's version of inculturation.
Perhaps every Cardinal Archbishop of Vienna should have a jellyfish on his Coat of Arms.More

When Cardinal Schönborn says that two people engaged in regular sodomy are in a relationship that should be respected, he is in fact promoting a sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance.
Some months ago I heard the Cardinal preaching in Kansas about the poor condition of the Church in Austria. Perhaps he should realize that the lack of leadership from the hierarchy is a prime cause for that condition.More
