Revelation 22:15 Dogs: they were regarded as despicable creatures; when the term was applied to people it referred to all types of ceremonially unclean persons and also to people of low moral character: e.g., male prostitutes (Deut 23:18) and unfaithful leaders (Isa 56:10).
The Scriptures give the name dogs to pagans, apostates and sodomites. He also calls unfaithful shepherds dumb dogs who do not warn the flock in their charge of spiritual dangers and only care about their own gains.

You shall not bring the hire of a harlot, or the wages of a dog,[Or sodomite] into the house of the Lord your God in payment for any vow; for both of these are an abomination to the Lord your God.
Deuteronomy 23:17
There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
