Prior to covid, bonuses were paid for getting kids all their shots by age 2, as long as around two thirds of all patients were vaccinated. The average pediatric practice can bring in $100,000 or more per year of this easy money. This has probably fallen behind, and that’s why they want to “catch up.” It has nothing to do with children’s health. If parents refuse, that’s the sort of thing that could bring about some change.
