The BIBLE and the Saints say that Catholics must hate the people that God hates
God hates some peopleFor equally hateful to God are the ungodly and their ungodliness; for what was done will be punished together with the one who did it. Wisdom 14:9-10
For the most High hateth sinners, and will repay vengeance unto the ungodly, and keepeth them against the mighty day of their punishment. Sirach 12:6
Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others; who despises a vile person Psalm 15:4
Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against you? I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies. Psalm 139:21-22
Commentary
Christ commands, "Love your enemies "not those who hate God. (St. Augustine) We must love in them what God loves, and detest what he condemns. (Theodoret) Fervent zeal against God's enemies is commendable.
But where is, "Love your enemies"? Is it because He said "yours," not "God's"? "Do good to them that hate you." He saith not, "who hate God." So he followeth the pattern, and saith, "Have not I hated those who hated Thee; Lord?" He saith not, "Who have hated me." Augustine of Hippo.
