After Ending Latin Mass in 2022, Parish Closes Its Doors in 2026

St Joseph's parish in Hammond, Indiana, will be closed next year due to a lack of parishioners. Bishop Robert McClory announced on 11 May in the context of a "merger" of parishes, reports Rorate-caeli.blogspot.com.

The parish used to have a daily Mass in the Roman Rite celebrated by the Institute of Christ the King. The institute paid the parish $40,000 a year to use the church.

In 2019, some elderly parishioners complained to NCRonline.org about the Holy Mass. Following this, Bishop Donald Hying abolished weekday Masses.

In 2022, Bishop McClory moved the Mass to Our Lady of Czestochowa parish in Merrillville. It has been there ever since and is thriving.

May be the faithful don't want to hear homilies on the theme of "The Kiss" or praises on perverts from the pulpit. Dear Lord please forgive us for not taking back the Church from these creeps.

Dying parishes for a dying world. Modernism-Marxism-Illuminism kills.
