The work of restoring the Cathedral started in 2013, that is, it will complete 10 years in October this year. Since then, the work has stopped, moved on and, according to those responsible, is scheduled in five stages.
At the beginning, the forecast for expenses was around R$ 6 million, but it will certainly exceed this amount. What a tragedy, to spend all that money, and maybe put in an ugly Vatican II table altar instead of a true Catholic altar.
