Pungent Naphthalene Smell: Jesuits General Dusts off Cassock

SilereNonPossum.com observed a miracle during Leo XIV’s inauguration Eucharist relating to the Jesuits' General, Arturo Sosa Abascal.

"A smell of mothballs lingered in St Peter's Square. Arturo Sosa dusted off a garment he hadn’t worn in years."

And: "These, too, are the effects of Jesuit hypocrisy."

Fr. Arturo has faced accusations of heresy several times.

In 2017, he claimed that no one was recording Christ's words, meaning that statements attributed to him in the Gospels must be "interpreted".

In 2019, he said that "the devil exists as a symbolic reality, not a personal one".

Prevost: No cassock & short sleeves

Cardinal Prevost does not wear clericals when …

If it is such a challenge to wear clerical garb, one wonders how ashamed one seems to be of the vocation one followed. Although he was one of the weak prelates during the COVID 19 debacle, our local cardinal (now retired) was at least sufficiently secure to wear his regular black clerical shirt and collar whenever he was out and about on public transit. Too bad there are so few photos of our present pope doing the same.

The difference in visuals between this photo op and the Zelensky photo op is quite a contrast with the Vance photo op.

to: BB: you got it ! for some trads, style creates the illusion of meaning; instead it should be meaning creates style

Of course: what robes they wear is much more important than things they do or fruit they yield, especially to naive trad Catholics. This trick works well so they are taking full advantage of it.

@Boanerges Boanerges Sowing suspicion in all your comments is all you can do... is that Christian?

Suspicion? After 12 years there is not more suspicion, brother. Things are crystal clear

@Boanerges Boanerges Things were crystal clear concerning Francis. How do you know - after only a few days - about Leo XIV? You'd better be wiser and more prudent and wait a while before you pour out your judgements on the world. God can do miracles.
