The mystery of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The month of June is the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This month of the year entails more than the celebrating of the Feast of the Sacred of Jesus. This is the month that is reserved for God. This is the month when we recognize the existence of God, especially His Divine Presence on earth in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” [John 14:8-9]

“He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the
beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything.” [Colossians 1:15-19]

“For in him [Jesus] the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily.” [Colossians 2:9] I repeat in simple English, “In Jesus, the entire Trinity of God was present physically in our world.”

When you celebrate the Sacred Heart of Jesus during June, you are not only celebrating, but you are also recognizing the fullness of the Holy Trinity present physically in this world in Jesus.

In the Sacred Heart of Jesus is the fulfilment of the prophecy found in Leviticus 26:11-12. We read, “I will make my dwelling among you, and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people.”

When you celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, you are reminded that through Jesus, in Who dwelled the fulness of God, the Heavenly Father manifested Himself on earth. How can you say, “Show us the Father?”
