A rare medieval survivor in the City of London: St Olave’s Hart Street.
It survived the Great Fire of London, was for many years the parish church of 17th diarist Samuel Pepys, was dubbed ‘St Ghastly Grim’ by Charles Dickens because of the entranceway to its churchyard and it is still going strong today.
It is incredible how much history you can find tucked away amongst the skyscrapers in the City
