Having been granted the beatific vision, shall one turn one's face away from God toward His creation?

This depiction is thoroughly a Protestant conception and depicts love of self above love of God.

I have read from people who have had near death experiences, that reunions with family is just like this!! I don't know why there are so many littlle children in the picture, but I read that a man who was dying saw his Mom and Dad, a sister who had passed away, his grandparents, neighbors he remembered, and even his dogs he had as a child running to greet him. He said his parents and grandparents looked like they were in their 40's, as he remembered them when he was a child, not like in their 90's when they died. His grandparents looked around 60, likewise not in their 90's
And he said the people were dressed in regular clothes, but that others, probably angels, were wearing white robes, and that the place looked like a beautiful park in Summer....but a sunny, happy, perfect place, with huge golden cities in the distance.
But of course, there were no cars, buses, planes, etc.
