Elected politicians in Canada should not be allowed to cross the floor

Yesterday, Conservative Party Member of Parliament Michael Ma issued a statement to explain why he crossed the floor to join the Liberal Party of Canada. This makes for the second Conservative MP to do so in this 45th Parliament. The other was Chris d'Entremont of Acadie, Annapolis. If one gets elected as a Conservative representative one should not have the right to cross the floor. Run in the next election with the party of your choice, if you believe your present party no longer reflects your views. But to make that decision without real the consultation of the voters is wrong. It's completely undemocratic.
