Good point. When John Paul II celebrated his first Papal Mass in the USA, on October 1, 1979, on a rainy night on Boston Common, the City of Boston presented a bill for $40k to the Archdiocese of Boston to pay for the damage to the grass. Here, I suppose we’re assuming that the French taxpayers will foot the bill.
