Only the Catholic Faith can lay claim to fully healing and wholeness of self, it gets complicated where sin is involved, and that Dr may have convinced you he has healed himself , and possibly he has used some techniques to reason his way through certain habits of mind, but sin needs to be atoned at the end of the day, either here or in purgatory, so if that is left out, then that is a big part to leave out of understanding the whole human condition!!
