16-Year-old Girl Set on Fire for Resisting Gang-Rape

LUCKNOW, India: Even as the Uttar Pradesh government grapples with the Badaun rape and murder of two cousins this week, another atrocity against women has come to the forefront. Reports of a group of men, to include a former village pradhan, have doused a minor girl with kerosene and set her ablaze in the Basti district on Saturday, after she resisted their attempts to molest her.
