Roman Mass Restriction: Faithful Demonstrate Against Archbishop

Catholics will gather for a "Save the Latin Mass" rally on Saturday, June 28 outside the Cathedral of Detroit, Michigan.

Archbishop Edward Weisenburger announced June 13 that beginning on July 1, the Archdiocese of Detroit will limit the celebration of the Mass in the Roman Rite to only four designated locations.

Weisenburger has also "prohibited" ad orientem liturgies in the Novus Ordo, although he has no authority to do so.

LifeSiteNews.com reports that organizers pray for the "removal of all restrictions on the Latin Mass in the Archdiocese of Detroit."
