I was at the vigil for life, and while its true to say that there was not 10,000 on Molesworth street, the vicinity around the Dail was certainly packed around the Kildare street junction, and so I'd be willing to entertain the possibility of 10,000. Include every Georgian building staircase the crowds spilled into, then we're looking more promising. Perhaps though the figure maybe a little …More
I was at the vigil for life, and while its true to say that there was not 10,000 on Molesworth street, the vicinity around the Dail was certainly packed around the Kildare street junction, and so I'd be willing to entertain the possibility of 10,000. Include every Georgian building staircase the crowds spilled into, then we're looking more promising. Perhaps though the figure maybe a little lower by a touch, I'd say upwards of 8,000 were there, judging by the noise levels, and not bad for a Tuesday evening... God Bless the work!

I was there but I don't think there was 10,000 others! It seemed closer to about 5,000 or so. I base that on our annual school sports awards where we have 1,000 students and their teachers in our gym- so I know what a big crowd looks like. Still it was impressive and I hope our politicians got the message. Unfortunately with the budget out today it's likely to be quickly forgotten. The real way …More

The real way to get a politician's attention is by hitting their pocket by hitting their votes. To those outside Ireland: please pray for us that we will remain abortion free!
