Catholics in the greater DC metro region, especially those who have been away from the Church or the sacrament, are invited to experience God's mercy and forgiveness through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This Lent, all Catholic churches in the Archdiocese of Washington and Diocese of Arlington will be open on Wednesday evenings for confession and quiet prayer. What a wonderful invitation to those that have not taken
a bath recently. Of course, to take a bath we must take
off our clothes; and so it is for confession, if we do not
set aside our pride we will not make a good confession.
As is the odour of a person who doesn't regularly take
a bath, so is the stench of a soul which has not been
washed by the cleansing blood of Jesus. The Redeemer
awaits us;…More
