Sanctification is a lifelong process. We must strive to be holy, conforming ourselves and growing into Christ Jesus.

Notice the ugly faces the artist gave to the soldiers executing those being crucified along with Jesus. I would guess this work to be done around 1280-1350...definitly before the early Italian Renaissance (1380-1450).
