Priest Sacked for Doing His Duty

German-born Father Ralf Peter, 52, of Fieberbrunn, Salzburg Archdiocese, Austria, will leave his parish in August for "health reasons".

He has not yet a new assignment but will not be given another parish. Peter began his ministry six years ago and was considered "too Catholic" by some anti-Catholics who gave him a hard time.

Peter has abolished priest-less communion services and [unnecessary] communion helpers, and revamped church music.

In the autumn of 2022 he began to offer the Eucharist to the Lord, explaining that it irritated him to look into the faces of those present during the consecration. The archdiocese gave him explicit "permission" to do so.

Salzburg's Archbishop Franz Lackner is Austria's Presiding Bishop, who was trained as an electrician and forklift driver. He later became a Franciscan, a priest, and a [boring] philosophy professor who admitted to being ignorant of history. He was a ruthless enforcer of senseless Covid coercion, while brutally harassing Covid-critical priests.
