"God also suffered in Auschwitz and never left his faithful"
On August 14, 2019, on the 78th anniversary of the martyr's death of Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe, Archbishop of Krakow Marek Jędraszewski delivered a homily at the Holy Mass celebrated at the former German Konzentrationslager Auschwitz. At the field altar set up at the 11th block, near the wall of executions of many people of different nations and the death cell of the Saint Maximilian, other hierarchs also stood: Archbishop of Bamberg Ludwik Schick, Apostolic Administrator of Uzbekistan, Bishop Jerzy Maculewicz, OFM, Senior Bishop Kazimierz Górski associated with Oświęcim. At the mass gathered participants of the First March of Life of the Polish Diaspora and Poles.
At the beginning of the homily, the Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski noticed that the homeland are graves and crosses that testify to memory, suffering, but also bring hope of resurrection and victory.

In this work author Andrzej Zorawski examines human goodness. He forms a theory on the structure of human goodness and represent it using a geometrical model which he calls: "seed of our goodness" or "seed" in short. With the help of this model he describes its components' (elements) connection in relation to the goodness. An understanding of these relationships can contribute to our spiritual growth and this in turn may lead to an improvement in our interpersonal behavior. The spiritual world is a space based on elements other than those that physics reveals to us. Matter may be the foundation on which the spirit grows, but fundamentally the spiritual space is independent of matter. In the spiritual space there is a new type of field - the field of action of our will. These thoughts are inextricably linked to God's mercy.
