So sad to see such a great order abandon their identity, I just visited the Passionists and they are sending their men to Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and unfortunately the only thing Catholic about CTU is the name. So sad to see such a great order abandon their identity, I just visited the Passionists and they are sending their men to Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and unfortunately the only thing Catholic about CTU is the name. Also, they very rarely wear the religious habit (and when they do many of the Passionists no longer wear the holy Rosary on the cincture). Not to get caught up on externals nor deny the great work that many Passionists are engaged in but it was pretty apparent to me in Chicago to see that the Passionists are not what they once were. Pay for them.

Nice little discernment chat going on here. I don't know if you caught that line "We're staying with the Church" but that is Br. Elijah, he is a phenomenal musician and I saw him perform on EWTN when St. Vincent hosted the Mother Teresa thing earlier this year. O yeah, that is a great line to hear with so many orders these days going away from the Church.

Br. Gabriel, This video looks AWESOME, I want to get a hold of you guys to schedule a visit...after seeing all that the Lord is doing at the Monastery I think that your house may be worth a look. I just spent some time with the Friars of the Renewal in Harlem and I expressed to the my interest in Benedictine life and the brothers recommended that I look at St. Vincent. I will be in touch.

I am praying for ya Bro, I visited St. Vincent a few months back and I feel the same way. They are such wonderful men...especially the younger monks, they remind me so much of the CFR's only Benedictines, in fact a lot of the monks were good friends with the friars I visited in NY. Anyway, please pray for me to and for St. Vincent as they continue their amazing witness!!!
