Cardinal Müller: Impossible to Validly Ordain "Deaconesses"

Yes it is true that women absolutely cannot be ordained as priests. But as a deacon?

The Council of Chalcedon is an ecumenical council of the Catholic Church. What does Canon 15 of Chalcedon mean? Seems to suggest there was ordained female deacons at one point in the history of the church. Ultimately the authority of the Church will decide on this.
