Relic of St Maximillian Kolbe.
"Greater love has no man than this, that he should die for his friend" (John 15:13). 14th August is the feast of the great Franciscan martyr, St Maximilian Kolbe, who exchanged his life for a Jewish father's at Auschwitz. This relic of hairs from the saint's beard is in the Maximilian Kolbe centre in Lourdes.
