Scandal to include Women?

Apparently there are many Orthodox iconographers who have a definite problem with this contemporary image. Perhaps we could revisit the idea of Pentecost, that the spirit of God comes down upon all of creation, every aspect and molecule, the Holy Spirit arrives in and through the revelation of Christ. How does a rock experience the HS coming down in the form of Christ? I have no idea, other than through the egg tempera ground up rock pigments we all paint with. That could be ironic, perhaps the pigments gave me the idea to paint the image this way? Besides all this, I am quite sure the HS descended to benefit all of humanity, we only need to turn towards the divine spark, the teaching, the Ah Ha and follow to grow deeper in knowing who we really are. Male and female a like.
The other aspect up for discussion that seems to jolt the tradition, is the way they sit facing each other, feet upon the planet earth. The disciples would not have know they were on a planet hurling through space at 50,000 miles an hour. Things have changed as they sat " in the upper room, with the doors closed in fear of the Jews" ...could these disciples back then have locked out their wives and children?
My crime and heresy is apparently the depiction of the event does not portray only men?. or is it the Planet we stand upon instead of another name, "Cosmos" who is often represented. I respect that change comes slowly but could anyone comment on what part of the ancient teaching is not present in this icon?
