Transept chapel in Buckland.
Tucked away in the south transept of Buckland's medieval church, this Victorian chapel was an exuberant explosion of colour and decoration with mosaics and opus sectile work on the wall and floor, finely carved stalls, beautiful iron lamps and a painted ceiling. Combined with Holiday's magnificent window of the Ascension, this little space rewarded some close attention.
