In all fairness, many thousands of stay-at-home mothers demonstrate that not having a career does not guarantee all (or even some) of the good things in the second column happen. If the second column was the result of staying at home, families on welfare would be wonderful nurturing environments since both parents stay home!

"Children with her"?
Nope, They're "with others". whatever others are out in the street that day.

"Rests while her children nap".
Nope. Her children don't nap. They consume a complete breakfast of artificially flavored, colored, sugar-laden cereal and they remain hyperactive little goblins all day long. When they're not in front of the TV, they're causing havoc. In such cases, the mothers do a LOT of resting, especially during the morning when all the talk-shows are on and then in the afternoon when the soaps start up.

"Dinner is from scratch".
Nope, it's just like the first column. "Dinner is usually fast food or microwaved". Time spent cooking is time not spent watching TV or on the phone.

"Reads to children/ plays games/ teaches about Jesus all day long".
Nope. The children do hear about Jesus all day long because their mother uses His name in vain constantly.

"Intimate with husband frequently"
LOLOL... Judging from all the frustrated married men out there, this isn't true for women with careers, women without careers who stay at home all day, bad secualr mothers or devout Catholic mothers who otherwise fit everything else in the second column.

There's been a few articles on GTV written by unfortunate, unhappy husbands, filled lulz and fail, trying to rationalize their lot in life.
