Francis Church: Special Deal for Wealthy Mason

Giorgio Arioni, 61, a 'bigwig' in Italian Freemasonry, received a August 23 ecclesiastical funeral at San Gabriele Parish in Civitanova Marche, Fermo Diocese, Italy.

Arioni was a real estate agent and involved in politics.

The Masonic obituary – published by the Grand Orient of Italy – noticed that after Arioni’s death “the chain of union has broken” and “the insignia darken in the midnight and join together to accompany the Brother on his journey to the Eternal East.”

“In the hour when the sun appears on our horizon, we glorify GIORGIO: a free man, a Mason, a Brother, who led us all with Masonic mastery as Venerable Master,” the obituary says. Arioni was the leader of the Lodge no. 738 'Edwin E. Aldrin' of Fermo.

The November 1983 Declaration on Freemasonry of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith affirmed that “the faithful who belong to Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and cannot have access to Holy Communion."

If Arioni had been a simple, poor and faithful Catholic who wanted a Roman Mass for his funeral, Francis' "Mercy Church" would have brutally denied it to him.

Dear Jesus, have mercy on us! Our own Pope who permits such a travesty!
