She was the sacristan when the flu ran rampant through the convent and she was the only one well enough to do the job. (If I remember correctly, she was reluctant to do it.) I do not like this picture either. I have seen it as a stained glass window. Seems like propaganda to me.

Why? Is it because she handling the hosts? Was St. Therese ever the sacristan of her convent? I don't see this as any sacrilege since I guess it's non-consecrated hosts. Many nuns make altar breads for use at Holy Mass. They probably need to touch them.
