Francis Synod Is a Marketing Campaign for Heresies - Bishop

The Church has not been on the wrong track for 2,000 years, only to be taught better by an ongoing synodal process, writes the Swiss Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus Marian Eleganti in a 1 November statement.

Francis' Synod is about the same old old stuff that has been warmed up for the umpteenth time since the 1970s: "democracy," women's priesthood, abolition of sexual morality, adultery and homosexuality, moving away from "priest-centricity" in the liturgy, etc.

The Synod is "a kind of marketing campaign" for heresies labelled with empty phrases like Listening, Inclusivity, Welcoming, Diversity, Equality, he analyses.

The synodal "God" is being sold as "inclusive love" that approves of everything. In contrast, Christ preached exclusivity when people are excluded from the wedding hall and thrown out, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Eleganti explains that the "Synod God" is no longer truth and righteousness, both of which are exclusive and exclude error and sin and those who insist on sinning.

For Eleganti, the Rock of Peter has become a shifting dune that goes along (syn-odos) instead of providing clarity. The [alleged] clarity of the predecessor popes and previous councils, including the texts of Vatican II, are no longer accepted today, he says.

The Church is not a dreamwalker, but a teacher who does not contradict herself, for example, in the assessment of homosexuality, which Eleganti calls the "great evil in the clergy of the last 50 years". This problem is not being tackled, but covered up, even "right at the top" in the Vatican.

Eleganti makes it clear that the world and its immorality are "not a source of revelation".
