This passage is about Rachel’s reaction to the Massacre of the Holy Innocents, which is related to today’s abortion. Rachel was Jacob’s wife, mother of Joseph and Benjamin, a faithful woman of God, who died giving birth. It is incredible that God raised her from the dead to lament the Massacre of the Holy Innocents 1600 years after she was buried. Rachel was weeping for HER massacred babies so loudly that her cry could be heard 11 miles away from her tomb. She lamented so bitterly at their murder, which she called HER children that she REFUSED to be comforted on this earth. As you can see God raised Rachael from the dead 1600 years after she died and let her voice be heard 11 miles away. Her crying and lamenting was over the Massacre of the Holy Innocents and she refused to be comforted until she returns to Heaven.
