No Longer About Guilty Or Innocent, But About Exclusion From Opus Dei

The lawyer for José María Martínez, the Opus Dei teacher and victim of false abuse accusations, met on November 13 with Teruel Bishop José Antonio Satué, 55, the judge of his case (JoseMariaMartinezGaztelueta.com, November 24).

• Satué has changed the rules of the case, he now simply considers Martínez “guilty” and wants to expel him from the Opus Dei.

• The question of why this change was made, remains unanswered, which constitutes an abuse of power.

• Martínez: “Since canon law could not condemn me, they are now inventing an alternative procedure so that Opus Dei can condemn me.”

• Satué dismisses the CDF's 2015 ruling that Martínez is innocent (“What could be in my favour has been eliminated”).

• Satué refused to hand over the text of Juan Cuatrecasas' [refuted] accusation to Martínez.

• Martínez’ lawyer was only allowed to copy by hand (sic) Francis’ August 2022 decree and the charge.

• Only a part of the evidence was given to Martínez, the same as used by the Bizkaia court, most of which was rejected by the Supreme Court.

• After handing over these 2000 pages (!), a meeting in one week was proposed, apparently to prevent effective preparation.

They are looking for anything against Opus Dei. They want to destroy anything that has any good in it.
