Former Sisters of St John Now in Spain

The Stella Matutina Congregation continues to stand by its late founder, Father Marie-Dominique Philippe, who was accused of fornication, writes VidaNuevaDigital.com (July 7).

• The 300 nuns of the Stella Matutina community have been undergoing a refoundation since 2009 after being accused of “sectarian aberrations” (sic).

• Córdoba Diocese, Spain, accepted the nuns as “Hermanas de San Juan y Santo Domingo” in 2012, but the Vatican rejected the deal.

• So the nuns created a new community in Bergara, San Sebastian Diocese.

• They were approved as the “Sisters of Maria Stella Matutina” in 2014, except for four nuns, including Sister Alix Parmentier and Sisters Marthe and Isabelle Hubac.

• None of them left and Sister Alix died in 2019, had a very solemn funeral, and was buried in her habit.

• The sisters continue to pay tribute to Philippe especially on the anniversary of his death and through numerous pictures in the convents or holy cards distributed by the nuns.

• If the nuns promoted homosex instead, everything would be fine for the Vatican.

What on earth is going on with this phenomenon of religious superiors of traditional/conservative orders falling into fornication these days? Sadly, we were just told of the salacious obscenities committed by the poor former Mother Superior of that Carmel in Texas who debased herself so with a Priest, which was brought to light by, of all things, a profoundly embarrassing and unseemly civil litigious debacle that exposed and uncovered all sorts of sleazy, sordid and iniquitous activities there, now we are informed of more unsavoriness regarding this Founder and the horror of his fornicating. It breaks my heart to hear of such abhorrent behavior from those who are consecrated unto Christ as the Lord’s beloved. Such defilement polluting and profaning the most Holy place these days is beyond the pale…unspeakably scandalous. It was not always so.
