Obama Celebrates Roe vs. Wade Decision, 54 Million Abortions
President Barack Obama, today, release a statement celebrating the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision that allowed for 54 million abortions. The decision, handed down on January 22, 1973, overturned pro-life laws offering protection for unborn children in most states across the country, and made abortions legal and virtually unlimited. The statement Obama released says:
As we mark the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we must remember that this Supreme Court decision not only protects a woman’s health and reproductive freedom, but also affirms a broader principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters.
I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right.
While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue- no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption.
And as we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.

It amazes me that woman would rather get mechanically raped than just give the child up for adaption to a family that desperately wants a child. When a woman is damaged from the abortionist I am happy because I know that woman that got the abortion will probably go back a second time. When Obama speaks about a woman's health it is nonsense!!! It is healthier for a woman to have a child than for medal to be shoved up her in a violent manner. Woman have actually died from it.

In allowing babies from failed abortions to be left aside without any food or assistance in order to allow these babies to die...just leaving them alone to die! People should read Roe v Wade. The SCOTUS (The Supremes) first had to create a right to privacy (also not in the constitution) and then they found the right to an abortion in that newly created right.
Interesting that 'The right to life' is one of the certain unalienable rights specified in the Declaration of Independence, but it has been trumped by a right never mentioned anywhere.
