In Zahedan Sistan-Belutschistan im Südosten des Iran sind am Freitag offenbar mehrere Dutzend Menschen von Regimetruppen verletzt und getötet worden. Bisher unbestätigten Informationen von Aktivisten soll es 36 Tote und über 50 Verletzte in der Hauptstadt der Provinz Sistan-Belutschistan geben, darunter Frauen und Kinder. Grund für das brutale Vorgehen seien Solidaritätsbekundungen der Bevölkerung mit dem Aufstand gegen das Regime beim heutigen Freitagsgebet. Auch liegen Angaben über eine Explosion in Zahedan vor. Habibollah Sarzabi, Generalsekretär der Nationalen Solidaritätspartei Belutschistans, sprach von „massakerartigen Übergriffen“ durch Irans Sicherheitskräfte und einer „Stadt im Krieg“. Gegenüber dem iranischen Oppositionsmedium Iran International gab Sarzabi an, dass die Trupps des herrschenden Klerus mit Maschinengewehren auf die Menschen gezielt hätten – teilweise aus Hubschraubern, die im Tiefflug über die Stadt donnerten. Wütende Demonstrierende sollen als Reaktion eine Polizeistation sowie das Geschäft eines Kommandanten der iranischen Revolutionsgarden (IRGC) in Brand gesteckt haben.

In Zahedan wurden heute nach einem Massaker des Regimes mehrere Polizeistationen angezündet. Es soll auch einen Bombenanschlag gegeben haben.

Habibollah Sarzabi, Secretary General of the Balochistan National Solidarity Party, spoke of "massacre-like attacks" by Iran's security forces and a "city at war". Speaking to the Iranian opposition media Iran International, Sarzabi said that the ruling clergy's squads had targeted people with machine guns - some from helicopters that thundered low over the city. Angry demonstrators reportedly set fire to a police station and the shop of an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander in response. Meanwhile, the London-based organisation Netblocks reported a regional internet disruption in Zahedan and other parts of Sistan Balochistan. Videos on digital networks show people covered in blood in mosques and hospitals, and emergency rooms are reportedly overloaded.
