Leo XIV Decries Fake News on Social Media
At a reception for 200 bishops ordained last year on September 11, Pope Leo XIV urged caution regarding fake news on social media. According to the Pope, there is a danger that “everyone feels entitled to say whatever they want, even if it is false.”
In serious cases, the bishops should consult so-called communication experts.
