Michael Matt introduces his strategy of 'support him when he's right' with regard to Jorge Bergoglio: "...when he says or does something that is constructive, that is helpful, that is Catholic, that we can use, in other words, I think tradition-minded Catholics have to be there [and] support the Holy Father.... When Pope Francis says something good, I think it's very important that we acknowledge that. And that doesn't mean that we have lost sight of the fact that we do have what appears to be a liberal sitting on the throne of St. Peter. But on the other hand, you know, the conspiracy nuts who want to say that Pope Francis is, you know, whatever, a Freemason, he is probably the trigger man on the grassy knoll who shot John F. Kennedy, or he's the mastermind behind 9-11 -- all of this sort of stuff may be fun to play with on blogs and on the blogosphere, but really it's time for tradition-minded Catholics to come together with a strategy that's effective."

This man is a Judas Goat leading Catholics to perdition. Unite the Clans is a coward's cry! Does this huckster forget that Satan knows scripture better than any living being and used scripture to tempt Christ. To apply Matts principle this means that when Satan says something good " it is important that we acknowledge that".

Well at least the above is proof that Matt didn't just flip with Leo. He's always been "recognize & resist" It's habitual. I have to admit, I was a big proponent of "look to the Holy Father in Rome" for the Truth. Of course that was under other less scandalous {albeit NOT perfect by any means} pontiffs versus the brazen dissent of many bishops, priests, & religious around the world. But now? It really seems the prophecy is undeniable: Rome has lost the Faith!

When a false prophet says something good he is catholic? Ridiculous.

No. But when my cat uses her scratching post instead of my chair, I reinforce the behavior.
The problem is I trust my cat to improve her behavior much more than I expect Provost to.
