Traditionally, today is the feast of the Chair of St. Peter in Rome. Thus, this whole week became a time of prayer for Unity... namely, that all men would convert and become truly united to the Holy Roman Catholic Church, outside of which there is no salvation. Thus, all week long many prayers were offered up for the conversion of non-Catholics. Sadly, now we are just trying to get along by appreciating what little truth this or that religion holds on to... seeking to co-exist or hope for some future convergence. For our part, let us obey the request of Our Lady, given at Lourdes and Fatima, namely to pray for the conversion of sinners.
